I had it in the early 1990s. Surgery itself is no big deal since they put out under but recovering was extremely painful for at least a week. The first two or three days I could barely walk because I was in so much pain from it since they basically cut open your muscles and sew them shut. The worst part though was after coming to from the anesthesia it made me sick and I was throwing up which hurt like hell because of the pain from the surgery. I since learned when having surgery (I've had like ten) to make sure I tell them to pump me full of extra anti-nausea medicine so that doesn't happen to me again.

A couple of years ago, my doctor told me I had a small hernia. I had never felt anything; I had no clue. He sent me to a specialist who couldn't believe I wasn't in pain. The specialist confirmed I had a hernia, but decided I should not have surgery if it was not bothering me. He was convinced, especially because of my running, that I would be back in his office soon. I went back every three months for a year. I felt nothing. This past winter the doctor told me he doesn't want to see me until I am in a little pain.

Still not feeling it.

So, the answer to your question is no.

That "old dude", Marc M, who played in Justice League had that surgery and posted about it on some version of the old board, but unfortunately like him that post is long gone . . .

I had it back in 2010. It was a belly-button hernia, which the doctor said I was probably born with only began to give me problems as I got older and put on weight. It wasn't that bad. There was some discomfort for about a week but it wasn't horrible or anything. I think I stopped taking pain meds after the first or second day. The worst was when I came home after the surgery and my wife told my son (then 4) that daddy had something bad in his tummy. He hauled off and punch me right in the gut.

I have an inguinal hernia. My doctor told me it was the biggest bulge of the last 20 he's seen (I bet he says that to all the guys). I haven't really had any pain, though. The worst part of surgery/recovery will undoubtedly be convincing my three year old that I can't pick her up during the recovery period.

Yeah I had surgery at 25. Recovery sucked... lots of fiber I'd you catch my drift.

Although they supposedly do it arthroscopiclly apparently now so recovery may be better

I did in 2006 for an inguinal hernia. I was out of action for about a week and had a 5 inch scar for a while. The scar is gone now and I am good to go. The doctor said nurses kept coming in to check me out while I was out on the table because of how heavily tattooed I am. HA.

Thanks. It was alright. I went back to work too soon, which prolonged the healing process somewhat, but it was all good eventually. I spent a solid week in an opioid haze, which gave me a tiny bit of insight into what a junkie's life must be like, minus having to actually go out and score junk. I must say, I did not enjoy it.

There was an album on Earache, but with only like one original member.

I thought they broke up after the 7" when their bassist joined Oi Polloi.

Was that before or after he joined Dag Nasty? Same guy who was the Peter Holsapple of Youth Brigade, right? :D

The demo was better.
