A lesser known role but my favorite of his (and one of my favorite films).

Loved his stand-up, comedy albums and funny/dramatic acting. Hated that clown film but loved him in Shakes as a beaten mime. And one of my favorite dark gems of his, World's Greatest Dad. Twisted movie.

Shakes the Clown is awesome. I have a friend who watches it every New Years Eve (we have done that with him). My wife can't stand that movie, but c'mon, it's the Citizen Kane of alcoholic clown movies! :D

I can't say I'm the biggest Robin Williams fan, but I enjoyed his work and I respect that at one point, he was one of the biggest actors during his movie run. What I do like is he was a Bay Area guy. While he wasn't born here, he did grow up here and I admire the loyalty to call the Bay Area home as opposed to doing the usual and living in LA. The only connection I had was he lived in Sea Cliff before living in Tiburon and was the neighbor of one my closest friend's father. We used to see the huge parities when one of his kids had a birthday.

Suicides always break my heart weather it be celebrity or the common person.
