At White Eagle Hall the other night, they actually ran out of beer on tap. I don't think I'd ever experienced that before, ever, but anyway I got a 902 brewing can. I don't remember what type it was (it was either the pale ale or a more hoppy Octoberfest type brew), but I remember liking it.

I also abstained yesterday as I've been dealing with my first gout attack in almost 2 years. I forgot how awful they are.

I've heard bad things about that. Have at least 3 friends who get it periodically. Knock on wood, I have been fortunate so far.

A couple of glasses of red wine at Thanksgiving dinner last week and then a glass the next night with leftovers are the only alcoholic beverages I've consumed in recent weeks, but I think that'll change tonight since I'll be seeing Yo La Tengo's Hanukkah show.

Yea, it’s Thursday but I have a three day weekend starting......now. The last two weeks which is my busy time of year had all of our events and dinners canceled. My NYE plans are canceled. Me & the wife were exposed to to a Covid super-spreader event on Xmas so we aren’t seeing anyone.
I am now commencing on what I hope to be a legendary weekend of getting hammered.

I made a batch is cocktails to bring to a party tonight that has been... take a guess... cancelled because one of the hosts tested positive for COVID-19 yesterday. So now my wife and I will have to drink a bottle of bourbon with cherry lemon syrup (and a splash of Coke) all by ourselves while watching Pete Davidson and Miley Cyrus ring in the new year.

I’m in the Dominican Republic. Four coffees in, enjoying an audio book, and about to go SCUBA diving with my kids. Will report back. (Unless I get eaten by a shark, which will make this post haunting).

Enjoy! We just got back from an OC/LA family trip and the water was too cold to go swimming for any extended period of time, but I still managed to do some bike riding in Newport and I dipped my toes in the Pacific for a bit. Now we are quarantining for a bit just to be on the safe side.

Pete Davidson and Miley were terrible. Pleasant surprise when my son agreed to watch Citizen Kane with me and he liked it! Joined a Zoom call with a bunch of friends about an hour in, which is the best way to join a Zoom call. So, a decent NYE on the whole
