What a great band they were. I like their 7” and LP more than most Green Day albums in fact.
They were certainly in my top 10 bands on Lookout! as well. That dude had a very unique sense of melody and some unorthodox ways of fitting his vocals over the music.
I like his singing for Wynona Riders so much and to the point where I’m almost afraid to hear him sing for the Dead Kennedys.

I don't know them. But I have really come around on her. Everyone was crushing on her back in her hey day. But I found her a bit mousy. However, I'm all in, now. I'm completely in love with that crazy pyscho.

I think what really turned the tide for me was realizing she seems to have massive gazongas. That kind of slipped by me in my youth.

Without a doubt and also one of my favorite movies ever; did you have a brain tumor for breakfast?

Wasn't there supposed to be a sequel or remake a few years ago, where the "Heathers" are re-imagined as modern day trans/queer/SJW type bullies? Did I just imagine that?

I completely forgot that this existed. I don't know how I'll feel about watching it, but I'm gonna check out the trailer. Thanks.

I thought Winona Ryder was also most excellent in the 1996 movie version of 'The Crucible'.
Loved that book (and play and movie) for ages.

Wynona Ryders were fine, but they pale in comparison to Dave's other band, Vagrants / Pot Valiant.

...and Filth.
I love Richie's band before WR, Sweet Baby, too.

Wasn't Sergie from Samiam in that band as well? i think he played drums, instead of guitar... fun record... I think I still have it on cassette somewhere

Yes.
Sergie played drums.
Dallas Denery on vocals. Super underrated frontman. He's a professor of some sort now. Love his voice. The stuff he did with the Bomb Bassets (that included producer Kevin Army, all 3 members of Mr. T Experience at the time, and his brother John from the Hi-Fives) rules as well.
When they first started out as Sweet Baby Jesus, Dr. Frank from MTX played "drums"...on a couch or chair. Read that in an old zine from the 80s.
Aaron Cometbus played drums the last several months and on the aborted second album "Submarine Races", which is also great.

Sweet Baby was awesome. Got to see them once at Gilman. They signed to a major before anyone else in that scene and they were a couple years ahead of their time. The record was amazing, but bombed hard. Sergie and Richie both quit and were replaced by Cometbus and Ivy (Kamala & the Karnivores) before imploding.
