When I was about 7 years old or so in school in belfast,I remember a knock on the door and in walks Tom Baker in full hat,coat,scarf outfit. The only other thing I remember is absolute excitement.

I had convinced myself at one point that I had somehow confused memories,but my daughter started watching from Matt Smith's first episode and I said to my mum she started watching and she said "do you remember he came to your school?" I was pretty chuffed my memory was real,if a bit faded

Triggered by that Doughboys thread, I've been on a Rise binge (Kastner sang bv on the Joy EP). This song was on a 7" that came with the OX fanzine (in late '89, with an Anhrefn song as the B side, I think). Couldn't believe how DN it was/is. Writing this, I have (less than) a feeling I mentioned all this before. But I just learned that the singer was in Fair Warning, so that's new.
