i tried to post this last night after coming home from the hospital but i guess the stress, bleeding nose & percoset all helped me f' it up. first off i want to thank everyone profusely for caring about the fake g.i. myspace deal & have been too tired to even go online or watch a dvd lately. and now with this assualt biz, i might not get to talking to some of y'all till i get healed up.

anyhoo, i'm about a block away from my place coming home after work & really exhausted. out from the outdor pool area of my condo community pops up 5 enthusiastic (now i'm thinking all hopped up on goofballs!) young hs kids. i pay no mind until one of them comes up to me "hey whassup, hey hey hey". now i'm thinking this might turn into a random assualt & robbing. because they're all around me i can't pay attention to them all & one of them sucker punches me ... last time i felt something hit me this hard was coming home from dc club in '93! his blow knocked my glasses off so i was concerned for my sight because i'm nearsighted as a mofo without my specs. okay, i figured that was it as they were laughing but they all stuck around.

now i knew it was going to be much worse so i pulled out my exact-o-knife i use at work to cut open boxes & drop a line i've always wanted to use on someone in this kind of violent event. with my jaw swelling up & shirt drenched in blood i acted pycho & said "have any of you ever had to beat the shit out of a bunch of dudes in lock-up (lonnnnnnnnng story & maybe you'll read about my brush with the law in my memoirs) so you wouldn't get raped?!!!" someone exclaimed "he's got a knife!" which i'd hoped they'd split quickly but nooooooooooo! the guy who hit me (i think ... or was i hit 3 times at once?) picked up some heavy rock & tossed it at the ground about 5 feet from me & wasn't leaving so i went to the street where a car was coming. there i kind of fell after (either being hit again?) losing my energy.

the young thugs took off when the car stopped in front of me & a kind citizen called the police for me. another guy pulled up & let me call mikastabb at work. by now the emt unit was there asking me about my injuries. and the cops came to question me about: the time it happened, what were they wearing, where did they run off towards, etc. and wouldn't you guess that the same bunch assualted & robbed someone else up the road. at least they didn't get my wallet!

my wife was heading to the hospital once she got the address. i rode off in the rescue squad vehicle to the emergency trauma center. but we got a bit sidetracked by haing to possibly identify 2 guys who i couldn't be sure were part of the thugs ... f'n eyesight of mine! once there will guaze packed up my nose & i answered the proper medical questions & proceded to wait 2 hrs till mika showed up & a doctor was ready to examine me.

i was close to puking up with the blood in my mouth & an empty stomach. the end result: i have fractured nose, cheek bones, 7 two eyes 9my right one is practically sealed up. so your humble beaten-down narrator may have as the pixies song goes "i got a broken face". tomorrow i go to see if i need facial surgery but there could be chance the bones will heal themselves & i won't have surgery. i've got a dental appointment the day after & i can feel a few loose teeth. oh the life of stabb, it's never dull. my baby cat-astrophe is comforting me becauase he knows his poppa is messed up. mika's out getting my percoset, and food i can swallow.

wish the geezer luck that no facial surgery will have to take place. and seriously, never doubt the power of a group of clean-cut kids (not to play the stereotype card but this time they happened to be black teens) if you're walking alone somewhere. and i have my theory they actually live in this condo area so they can hit, rob, and run back to their homes. i doubt these little fuckers will ever get caught & now i've become a statistic in the police files.

A similar thing happened to me in high school but luckily I didn't suffer as much damage as this. One of the dudes ended up getting shot execution style a few years later over a drug deal gone bad. Everyone in the community treated him like a hero and made t-shirts in his rememberance.

Once on my way home from a gig i got "stopped" by two nice persons "asking" for a cigarette. Fortunately, just as one of the two punched me and my bike into a bush, people were walking by and all of the sudden i was treated a little more nicely.

I've seen that shit so many times, and 3 of my friends in Florida were just jumped two weeks ago by about 15 of those fuckers. If one of my bros hadn't had a .357 in his car, they could have been killed. He broke away during the beating, ran to his car, and grabbed the piece from his glove box. He fired it once into the air, and they all scattered. His girlfriend was there, and she's a petite blonde who was terrified. It could have been terrible.

The crazy thing is that the bar they were jumped outside of is only two blocks from the Lakeland Police Department on the same street, although the bar is also just a few blocks from the 'hood.

I'm always on the alert for this kind of nonsense, and I've seen it enough so I can read it before it happens when there are assholes throwing off bad vibes & just looking for trouble.

My sis came down yesterday and she asked so I told her about what happened to Stabb. She said that they have big groups (15 or so) of teens doing the same thing in Harrisburg and York, Pa. They have seriously hurt people.

She also said that Harrisburg has gunshot radar in some neighborhoods. They have some sort of radar, which interfered with the airport radar in some way (my brother-in-law is an air traffic controller), which tells the police when shots are fired. They are tied into cameras on the street. I'm just waiting for Baltimore to get this. As of last night, 180 homicides in the city. There are also signs posted warning of 'gunfire hot zones' or something like that.

Messed up is what it is.
