Vocals: 1986, 1991-Present
After serving time as a roadie for Dag Nasty, Dave Smalley officially joined the band in February 1986. He received a scholarship to attend school in Israel, and left Dag Nasty in June of 1986. He rejoined the band in 1991 and has been with them during reunion periods ever since. Dave has also released numerous albums with his band, Down By Law, while also performing with another side project, The Sharpshooters. Dave currently lives in Virginia and has won several awards working for one of Fredericksburg's newspapers. Aside from a few reunion shows, Down By Law has been relatively inactive. Although, they just released on new song on their website, which could be a hint towards a new release sometime soon.
